David entered the field of Dental Technology after graduating from University in 1984. He received his RDT at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in 1990. David held successive management positions in 3 large commercial laboratories in Toronto before establishing Isomorphics Dental in 1995. David maintains current evidence based dental knowledge and expertise by drawing from his comprehensive and advanced background in continuing education. The range of programs are too numerous to list but examples include the Continuum Series at the Pankey Institute; studies under clinicians like Peter Dawson, Carl Misch and Dennis Tarnow; training with some of the best ceramists in the world such as Yamamoto, Culp and Sieber to name but a few; ongoing software training in Dental CADCAM; in addition to staying current in all the materials and systems for modern dentistry. While a committee member with the College of Dental Technologists of Ontario he assisted in writing the Standards of Practice that are presently used in accordance to the Regulated Health Professions act. David’s interests include racing sailboats, skiing, golf and motorcycles.
Hiroyoshi Okawa (Hiro) LL.B in Japan and BSc in Canada
After graduating from University of Toronto, he once worked at an accounting firm in Vancouver as a joiner accountant. Coming back to
Toronto, he worked in property management and business consulting. In 2016 he established Hcafe Ltd in Unionville as President of this Japanese cakeshop. He has very good communication skills in both Japanese and English. He also has a good connection with many Asian communities in Canada. He has been supporting local communities like Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association and also sponsoring charity organizations for a long time such as Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation.
Carol Zhou is a Register of Traditional Chinese Medicine Partitioner of Ontario. She has Traditional Chinese Medicine educational background of China, and Massage Therapy diploma and Osteopath Therapy diploma of Ontario Canada. She is running her own Health Clinic in Richmond Hill. Her Clinic by blending scientific knowledge with traditional, natural, and functional medicine, She always works on the way of caring for clients to balance mind and spirit of clients, to do treatment and prevention, to help her clients to find the balance to live a healthy and happier life.
My name is Trancy Cun and I am very honored to join the Main Street International non-profit organization. My aim is to have a better chance of developing myself and helping more neighbors in the communities. Currently, I am currently working at the Royal Bank of Canada taking a leadership role as a Business account manager and acting as a mentor for new hires, also I’m a candidate for MBA at a university in the UK. I have helped over 250 small businesses owner to expand and grow their business. I achieved various awards in my past 10 years of working, such as the 2020 RBC Regional Bronze Winner & Q3 Winner. Outside of my job I’m also heavily involved with various charity partners and events. Having organized multiple Canadian Chinese New Year Gala with the support of the Chinese embassy of Canada involving over 10,000 participants. I'm looking forward to this year and can't wait to see what I can learn from all of you.
Mengyao QIAN (Youko)MPed Graduated from Western University in Professional Education and Project Management in 2020. Back in 2016, she worked for IKEA Shanghai SO as a global technical support specialist with expertise in problem-solving and client relationship management. She has a diverse cultural background and speaks Mandarin, English and Japanese. She is a fan of language learning and has once studied in China, Japan, Korea, and Ontario. Now she likes Toronto best and is willing to do something for the local community. Wishes: One step from me, better life for people in Main Street.
